Sailing to the west, New London is undergoing a revival with the soon to be built Coast Guard Museum and Broad River Walk. There has been an influx of new restaurants along Bank Street close to the marina and train station.

Heading south across the sound takes you to Greenport and the gateway to Shelter Island. Greenport is a bustling place and opens the way to Sag Harbor, Shelter Harbor, and Coecles Harbor. Farther to the east is Three Mile Harbor and Montauk Lake.

Heading east from mystic Block Island is a favorite sail and overnight stop. A little crowded these days but Block Island is full of activities and restaurants for sailors. There are great walks and beaches to enjoy during your stay
